Producer cooperatives & groups
CIGs, cooperatives, unions or federations: you bring producers together to gain leverage on inputs, logistics and sales.
Definition in the architecture : CIGs, cooperatives, unions and federations of crop producers
What you do
- Pool members’ output and organise the collection and sorting of harvests
- Supply members with seed, fertiliser and crop protection products at negotiated prices
- Run storage warehouses and, depending on the crop, drying or cold-chain equipment
- Negotiate and conclude group sales with buyers, processors and exporters
- Provide technical advice, training and certification support to members
- Represent producers within interprofessional bodies and towards partners
You stand between family farms and the market. You receive your members’ harvests, together with inputs and advice from suppliers and support services. You deliver uniform, sorted and traceable lots to collectors, processors and exporters. You secure price and regularity for the producer, and you unlock for downstream actors a pooled volume, controlled quality and documented traceability, all of which are essential for processing and exporting under sound conditions.
Where are you found?Across the whole country, with a strong presence in organised production basins: cocoa and food-crop cooperatives in the Centre, South, Littoral and South-West; coffee grower and market gardener groups on the Western Highlands and in the North-West; cotton and cereal organisations in the North and Far North.
Why your business matters in Cameroon and Central Africa
Producer organisations are the main lever for structuring agricultural value chains in Cameroon. They allow smallholders to reach the critical size needed to negotiate, invest in storage and obtain credit. The OHADA cooperative framework gives them a legal personality recognised throughout CEMAC, which eases contracts and regional partnerships. They are also the entry point for the certification and traceability programmes demanded by export markets, from cocoa and coffee to fruit. By consolidating rural supply, they contribute to food sovereignty, local employment and the positioning of Cameroonian products on regional markets.
The headings that project promoters, partners and institutions look at first. Fill them in with your real orders of magnitude: this is what makes your profile usable.
- Professionalise governance and financial management to earn the trust of buyers and banks
- Sign contracts with processors and exporters on guaranteed volumes and quality
- Pool investment in storage, transport and primary processing units
- Carry certification and traceability schemes on behalf of members
- Enter the commercial circuits of CEMAC and the wider AfCFTA market with pooled volumes
What the directory brings to your organisation
Your cooperative is listed as an identified counterpart for processors, exporters and input suppliers seeking pooled and traceable volumes.
You receive requests for supply contracts, certification projects and support programmes led by value chain actors.
You join a regional network of farmer organisations and buyers across CEMAC, open to trade under the AfCFTA.
Your listing in three steps
The directory is not a mere listing: each profile is positioned within the architecture (sub-domain, actor, value chain), checked by XP-NOVA, then published. You keep control of your profile after publication.
- The form
You enter your organisation, your position in the architecture — pre-filled from this page —, your value chains, your area of operation and your contact details. Your profile is created as pending and you receive your access.
Start my registration - Verification by XP-NOVA
The XP-NOVA team reviews your profile: consistency of the position in the architecture, reality of the declared activity, completeness of the information. If there is a reservation, the reason is sent to you and you can complete.
- Validation and publication
Once validated, your profile is published in the directory available to members, under your actor code. You update it from your area: contact details, logo, capacities, description.

To cooperatives: from survival to performance
In many cooperatives, the effort is real and the members are committed, yet the results sometimes remain limited: production that is poorly valued, difficulties accessing financing, a lack of stable market outlets, weak commercial structure.
Our mission is simple: to help cooperatives shift from a logic of survival to a logic of performance, market, and growth. A cooperative is not merely a grouping of people — it is a genuine economic force when it is well structured.
Because a cooperative should not merely survive. It should progress. It should inspire. It should succeed.
- Structure your activities around clear, realistic objectives.
- Strengthen your members' capacities with practical training.
- Improve product quality, compliance, and traceability.
- Facilitate access to financing and technical partners.
- Open opportunities toward high-potential markets, including for export.
