Your activities

What you do

  • Take equity stakes in production, processing and trading enterprises
  • Finance growth, capacity expansion and entry into new markets
  • Support managers on governance, strategy and financial structuring
  • Back young agri-industrial ventures in partnership with incubators
  • Prepare exits and subsequent fundraising rounds with other investors
Your role in the value chain

You receive files from growing enterprises, often referred by incubators, engineering firms and banks, and provide the capital that debt alone cannot supply. You give processing SMEs, exporters and agricultural service companies the means to invest in new capacity and to professionalise their governance. You secure the equity base that reassures banks and commercial partners, and you unlock the change of scale needed to serve regional and international markets at every stage of the Produce – Process – Export chain.

Where are you found?

Investors active in the value chains are mainly based in Douala and Yaoundé, sometimes abroad with a local representative. Their holdings concentrate in processing companies of the Littoral and Centre, plantations of the South-West, agri-industrial units of the West and logistics projects around Douala and Kribi.

Your place in the ecosystem

Why your business matters in Cameroon and Central Africa

Cameroonian agri-industrial enterprises lack the equity needed to move from artisanal to industrial scale. Investment funds and private investors fill this gap by taking on risk that lenders cannot bear. Their presence strengthens local processing, the creation of skilled jobs and the ability of firms to meet the standards of regional and international markets. They also bring governance and reporting practices that ease later access to credit. Within CEMAC and under the AfCFTA, they are a lever for the emergence of regional champions along the Produce – Process – Export chain.

Banks, microfinance, investment funds: they decide on financing — and a non-bankable project gets none, whatever its agronomic quality.

Your day-to-day challenges
  • Incomplete or implausible applications that consume appraisal time.

  • Monitoring the use of funds after disbursement.
What XP-NOVA brings you
  • Files structured in the format expected by lending windows, with verifiable milestones.
