Infrastructure & equipment

Energy & solar solution providers

You bring the electricity and solar power that keep pumps, cold rooms and processing units running in rural areas beyond the grid.

Definition in the architecture : Electrification and solar-energy solutions for irrigation, cold storage and processing

Your activities

What you do

  • Size and install solar systems for pumping and irrigation
  • Equip cold rooms and processing units with autonomous power
  • Supply electrification solutions for farms and isolated sites
  • Maintain installations, replace components and monitor performance remotely
  • Train users in the operation and routine upkeep of the equipment
Your role in the value chain

You source panels, batteries and pumps from manufacturers and importers and deliver installations to farmers, cooperatives, processors and warehouse operators. You work with infrastructure builders, cold-chain suppliers and processing-equipment providers whose machines depend on a reliable power supply. You secure the continuity of irrigation, preservation and production, and you unlock local processing in areas that the grid does not reach or serves poorly. Without your systems, much of the value created in the Produce – Process – Export chain would stay out of reach for rural businesses.

Where are you found?

These providers are based in Yaoundé and Douala, with branches in Garoua, Maroua and Ngaoundéré where solar pumping and cooling meet the needs of the Sudano-Sahelian zone. They also work in the vegetable basins of the West and in the processing areas of the Littoral and South-West. Their installations cover the whole country.

Your place in the ecosystem

Why your business matters in Cameroon and Central Africa

Access to reliable energy determines whether agri-food processing can take place in rural Cameroon. Without stable electricity there is no regular pumping, no cold chain and no viable processing unit. Solar-solution providers make it possible to bypass an absent or unreliable grid and to reduce dependence on costly generators. They enable dry-season irrigation, the preservation of fresh produce and value creation close to the fields. In Central Africa, where sunshine is abundant and rural electrification remains incomplete, these actors are a practical lever for rural employment and for lower post-harvest losses.

What your directory profile should declare

The headings that project promoters, partners and institutions look at first. Fill them in with your real orders of magnitude: this is what makes your profile usable.

Types of solutions offered (solar pumping, solar cooling, electrification, hybrid systems)Installable capacity and energy-storage options proposedGeographic areas covered by installation and maintenance teamsRemote monitoring and remote-maintenance arrangements for installationsWarranties, component certifications and installation references
Networking challenges and opportunities
  • Offering solutions that cooperatives and small processing units can afford
  • Ensuring batteries and components last in the face of heat, dust and humidity
  • Working with cold-chain and equipment suppliers to size coherent, well-matched systems
  • Accessing rural electrification programmes and climate-related financing
  • Building a network of local technicians for maintenance close to the installations
Why be listed

What the directory brings to your organisation

Visibility across the value chain

Your listing makes you visible to the farmers, cooperatives and processors seeking reliable power to irrigate, preserve and process.

Access to partnership opportunities

You gain access to rural electrification projects, climate financing and equipment suppliers looking for an energy partner.

Integration into the regional ecosystem

You position yourself in the energy-agriculture ecosystem of Central Africa, serving local processing and export ambitions.

Join the XP-NOVA directory

Your listing in three steps

The directory is not a mere listing: each profile is positioned within the architecture (sub-domain, actor, value chain), checked by XP-NOVA, then published. You keep control of your profile after publication.

  1. The form

You enter your organisation, your position in the architecture — pre-filled from this page —, your value chains, your area of operation and your contact details. Your profile is created as pending and you receive your access.

  2. Verification by XP-NOVA

The XP-NOVA team reviews your profile: consistency of the position in the architecture, reality of the declared activity, completeness of the information. If there is a reservation, the reason is sent to you and you can complete.

  3. Validation and publication

Once validated, your profile is published in the directory available to members, under your actor code. You update it from your area: contact details, logo, capacities, description.
