Feed millers & feed manufacturers
You manufacture the complete and concentrate feeds that nourish the livestock, poultry and fish of Cameroonian farms.
Definition in the architecture : Complete and concentrate feed for livestock, poultry and fish
What you do
- Formulate complete feeds and concentrates suited to each species and production stage
- Purchase and store raw materials: maize, soybean, oilcakes, bran and animal meals
- Manufacture, package and quality-check the feeds produced
- Distribute feeds to livestock farmers, cooperatives and retailers
- Advise farmers on rations, feeding management and performance
You are the link between crop and livestock value chains. You buy cereals, oilseeds and by-products from farmers, cooperatives and millers, and you deliver to poultry, fish, pig and ruminant farmers the rations that determine their results. You work with hatcheries, veterinarians and veterinary product distributors. You secure the consistency of livestock performance and you unlock the competitiveness of locally produced meat, eggs and fish, giving the Produce – Process – Export chain a reliable animal-protein base.
Where are you found?Feed mills are concentrated close to the poultry and pig basins of the Western Highlands, around Bafoussam and Bamenda, and to the large consumer centres of Douala and Yaoundé. They are also found in Adamawa and the North, near maize and sorghum production areas and ruminant farms.
Why your business matters in Cameroon and Central Africa
Feed is the largest cost item on livestock farms, and its quality determines animal growth, health and profitability. In Cameroon, demand for poultry, pork and farmed fish is rising with urbanisation, while raw materials remain exposed to the vagaries of harvests and imports. Feed millers provide a stable outlet for local maize and soybean, reduce dependence on imported feed and professionalise livestock farming. Within the CEMAC area, they are a key link in substituting imports of animal protein and in creating employment in cereal-growing and livestock basins, while helping farmers move from opportunistic to planned production.
The headings that project promoters, partners and institutions look at first. Fill them in with your real orders of magnitude: this is what makes your profile usable.
- Securing local maize and soybean supply through contracts with producers and cooperatives
- Guaranteeing consistent feed quality despite variable raw materials
- Developing fish feed and formulations suited to family livestock farms
- Cooperating with hatcheries, veterinarians and farmer cooperatives on integrated offers

To input suppliers: your products, at the heart of real projects
Seeds, fertilizers, crop-protection and veterinary products: without quality inputs, the potential of value chains stays underused. But counterfeiting and last-mile distribution complicate your market.
XP-NOVA integrates serious suppliers into structured, financed projects — where demand is real, solvent, and durable — and supports the building of approved, traceable distribution networks.
